Why we study Language-Arts

Language Arts is a key subject that every student has to learn in order to graduate high school. All it is are words on a page so why is it so important that schools teach Language Arts to their students?

Language Arts is important to me because it’s how we tell stories, fact and fictional ones. Language Arts sparks creativity. Without creativity the world would be bland and boring. A key part of Language Arts are books. Books can tell fascinating stories of a world where the impossible is possible. Dragons, , witches, or warlocks come to mind. Anything is possible within the pages of a book. I enjoy Language Arts but some might not, so why do schools force us to learn it?

From an academic standpoint words are the most powerful tool ever created. They allow us to speak casually with our friends or they can allow us to speak in a formal tone with a potential employer for a job. Words can convey emotions and intelligence and allow us to express whatever you want to say. This is an important life skill and plays a huge role in a person’s future success.

Overall Language Arts is not just a subject in school, its a building block in life. Language Arts opens doors to present, past, and future life experiences. That’s why I think we should study language arts in school.

Sydney, Australia!(1/3)

This will be the first out of three post that I plan on doing and will go over my exciting adventures of the Sydney, Adalaide, and Melbourne

We arrived into the Sydney airport droopy eyed, tired from what felt like a lifetime of flying, the sun was just starting to rise signaling a long day to come. We only had 4 days and we planned to make the most of them, so hanging out heads as high as we could we wearily walked out the airport.

Our eye’s glistened with golden rays from the sun as we walked out of the airport, too tired to want to do anything we decided we needed a wake up call. Sydney has amassed a large number of french bakery’s/cafe’s so we decided to go and get a cup of coffee to raise the energy levels. My brother had found a well ratted cafe near us so we decided that would be our first stop in Sydney. We called an Uber, punched in the address, and than we took off waiting for delicious drinks and pastry’s. When we arrived we were greeted with a line throughout the door, we didn’t want to wait, but in the line held promise; promise that we had just found a local gem. The people seemed excited “I’ll take a pistachio macaroon” one person said “Ooooh get me one” screamed another. Our turn came up next “what’s good here?” I asked the person working the counter, “our pistachio pastry’s are the fastest off the shelves but my personal favorites are the pies if youre looking for something
